Born and raised in a beautiful town called Leipzig. After a carefree childhood, I trained as a mechanical fitter and worked 5 years as a hydraulics for a railway crane company. I like to look back on this chapter of my life and I am very grateful for the time.

But after 5 years as a hydraulics, I had doubts about whether I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. To be honest, I was pretty scared of the thought, that I reached my final destination, work-wise, already at the age of 25.

Even back then, I was already more interested in other cultures and landscapes, instead of being in the workshop all day.

Therefore I decided to go to Peru for my very first holiday. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the country and shocked about the poverty in which a large part of the population is living. For the first time, I realized how privileged we are in Germany ..

In the following years, I went to Africa, Thailand, Jamaica, Vietnam, Iceland, and other places in the world.

I was gripped by travel fever and wanted to continue exploring the world.

When I was 25, I decided to change my life and so I went for a long journey. I quit my job, canceled my apartment, reduced all my belongings to a backpack, and went to Australia. One year was planned, but now(2020), I have been traveling for more than three years.

My camera has been a faithful companion since 2014.

It started with snapshots and I didn't know what I was doing, but after a little while, my interest in photography grew and a new passion was born. Inspired by photographers such as Max Rive, Daniel Korden, and Ilhan Eroglu, I wanted to show the great places where I was, in an appropriate way.

With a penchant for the mystical, I like to make my landscape pictures very expressive and colorful.

Through compositions and colors, I try to guide the viewer through the photo and to emphasize certain objects and to reproduce the atmosphere of the moment.

With techniques like Focus- and Exposure stacking I achieve maximum sharpness and correct exposure over the whole picture. To give my photos a final touch, I'm using Lightroom and Photoshop.

I hope you like my work and have fun looking through it.

Kindly regards, Robert.

PS: I hope the Google Translator makes sense.
