Dancing Tree
The photograph was taken in the outback from Australia. Close to Broken Hill in New South Wales to be a bit more precise. I was staying on an old asparagus farm for six months. Therefore I had a lot of time to think about what makes the outback such a unique place. After a while, I concluded that the three most impressive characteristics are the following:
* The endless expanses
* The extreme heat/dryness
* The stars at night
It took me a while to combine those attributes in one photo. Thankfully I found this dead tree with perfectly shaped branches, standing all by itself on dead dry ground. The Milkyway completes the whole scene and shows that even a dead tree can dance at night.
